Rørkjøp is a nationwide plumbing chain consisting of over 400 plumbing companies. They are represented in all the country's counties. Rørkjøp has its own online store in rorkjop.no, where they want to make it easy to find a plumber and order products in one place.

Challenge

For many years, Rørkjøp has been self-sufficient in developer expertise and today has a tailor-made solution for the entire value chain for e-commerce. Rørkjøp's strategy going forward is to focus on its own core business, which is the HVAC profession. One of the choices was then to hire expert expertise for the establishment and maintenance of digital services. Although the tailoring solutions provided great flexibility, it also provided limitations in terms of scalability and dependency on people. There was therefore also a desire to move away from tailoring, and instead base the services on standard products.

The online store uses Klarna Checkout for a single checkout and Bring for shipping. This makes customers recognizable, and makes the checkout process painless.

Technology

We have moved all technical architecture to Azure and Optimizely DXP to ensure stable operations and the opportunity for rapid expansion.  The solution is built on Epinova Proxima, Syndigo (PIM, MDM), Optimizely CMS and Commerce as well as the digital service platform in Microsoft Azure.
